So if I pay 70 for the .net service can I play the beta now? Or do I have to wait till the 26th?

It seems as though we will have to wait. :notsure:

It would be nice to have instant gratification though wouldn’t it?

Since hearing about this game I seem to check the forms every 2 hours looking for new posts. :D

Wish they would post more after action reports like this one:

Alex (waiting for more AAR to tied him over)

Asorokop,
I've been doing the exact same thing as you!
Instant gratification isn't fast enough for me, though. Hey, how about some of you beta testers give us a little AAR action so we can drool over the events, gameplay, the way the victory conditions work... after all, we still haven't heard about the gameplay of winning. :P

you might want to check out my post in the "Can I get the beta today by buying Drengin.net?" topic... (of course, they may have fixed that in the last 24 hours)

^^ I think this is the link asorokop was refering to. It's that little walkthrough brad did with his game (there was a news topic about it last week). I'm sure some of the gamma testers would be more than happy to re-tell some of their more memorable encounters in galciv. I could tell mine, but as I get creamed every time, I don't know how entertaining they'd be to read. ;) They'd all end along the lines of...

"Once again, I foolishly raised my taxes too high for too long, causing massive hatred towards me by the mass of my population. I'm at war with everyone and I've tried to beg for peace by nobody will reason with me. The only race I'm friends with is the Alexians and apparently they smell. Perhaps that's why everyone hats me. Sol has just rebelled to the Yor, so I guess I've officially lost....Again. Till next time, cruel game...aparently the 'Drooling' level of difficulty is just too smart for me."

(:( Sad but true.

Uhmm.. I usualy play it all on normal and now started playing with 2 on bright AI setting. Now I am getting creamed by Altarians (bright ones ;) )

If any beta testers who had access to the gammas want to document one of their games, with screenshots and email them to me I'll see about putting it up.

Cool, Hey Frogboy or Singular point.. Can you make any comment on if the download is still available? If it is you got a 70 dollar sale. I guess I just want a real time update to be sure.

I don't think the beta is available on Drengin.net anymore. But it will be again on the day of release (at midnigh of that day).

Wow Frogboy. I do want to say this. I admire your quick response. As much time as I spent on the forums on moo3 no devs gave me such a quick response and thankyou. This is one game I definatly wanna own. I spent a long time yesterday on gamespot looking at all the 100 + screen shots heh :).

Thanks for your kind words. :D

I think that we have to wait because if they left the beta up, everyone would go Drengin.net(which I still can't spell ><) and Strategy First would skin them. Frogboy said something to that effect, I think, but don't hold me to it. ;)
