save & apply transparency option doesn't apply

I love Windows FX, and use it principally to make my application windows transparent so I can see my wallpaper while sitting all day typing.
With Windows FX2, there was a right-click menu option for the application on the taskbar to change transparency, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, in FX3 this has disappeared. So now to change transparency of the application, I have to do it through the FX3 properties page; however, the "save & apply" doesn’t "apply". I have to terminate the application and restart it in order to have the new settings applied.
Has anyone else noticed this and has it been addressed? Thanks ----
