The streets are duller and dirtier. The faces passing by less friendly and for some reason the weight of the world seems to be heavier on my shoulders. I can’t focus like I usually can. My mind wanders, wondering what you’re doing right now. I reign in these thoughts, trying to concentrate and get the day-to-day things done but I soon find I’m back to thinking of you. I’m distracted in a way only having you near can repair.

I don’t take the same comfort I usually do from my routines. There is a piece missing that is impossible for me to replace. I feel out-of sorts, short-tempered and unproductive. I found the lyrics on azlyrics.com, but it's by Wycliff Jean featuring Sharissa (although I could have sworn it was him and Mary J. Blige that did it together. (ignore the part about the cheating) but the rest of the words are so apt and I listen to it all the time because the beat is nice.

Maso, I just got home yesterday after being away from my babe for 2 weeks. Your article sounds just like our e-mails and calls to each other during those 2 weeks.

Isn't it funny how much more you realize your love for your special someone when you are apart? I hope your babe hurries home to you soon, and if your reunion is half as great as mine you'll be one lucky man.

Yeah, I know it was pretty mushy but necessary. She was only away for eight days but those were eight really long days, if you know what I mean.

Absolutely. But I do think it does couples good to take a little break from each other every now and then. I believe it helps stop taking each other for granted and refreshes the relationship. Our reunion was great and I bet mine was better than yours, but there is no way I'll be comparing notes with you.
