Just realized something

I used to hate mushrooms when i was little and now i'm more than happy to have some.

I used to eat Oysters when I was little, and now just the sight of it makes me want to gag.

I dont know when this happened but one thing is for sure: its funny how we change through the years...

I know what you mean, Island_Gurl... when I was little I slept in the same bed as my sister.. now the thought makes me gag ;~D

I'm the same way. Some of the things I used to enjoy the most - Peanut Butter sandwiches and the like, have just lost their . . . panache.

But - some of the things I used to not like just get better. And I find that it's more gratifying to mix flavors than I used to think. Some of you are going to be disgusted by this, but my favorite sandwich, previously PB and J, is now Ham and Cheese PB and J. I know, sounds gross, but my rule is, don't knock it until you try it. I've always been that way with foods and, consequently, like a lot of weird stuff.

Some things change, some stay the same. For example: as I child, I hated brussel sprouts. As an adult, I still hate brussel sprouts. Oh yeah, and I never did like girls much as a little boy. I'm glad I'm over that one.

Yea, I use to take baths with mine, now the thought gags me too!

As for foods, there were many I did not like as a child.  Now there is really only 2 - Kale and Liver!

I am totally the same way about mushrooms. I used to hate them when I was little and really quite enjoy them now! But I am one of those people who still as an adult can't give up my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! Never!!

Little Whip, oh yeah, i forgot about broccolis, i used to think they were weird looking and green so it meant it was disgusting food. Now when i see broccoli i start to drool, especially if it's chinese food, lol!

I think our tastebuds change over time, they get weaker or something and enjoy stronger flavors.

Yeah, that's a theory

I know the feeling, maybe because we had so much of something it becomes boring, i dont know?

Whats kale?

Similar to collard greens.  A very bitter green that is cooked like spinach.

Liver fixed the right way Doc is deeelicious! We don't make it runny or soft, we do it the Jamaican way-yummy!

I know what you mean too Em sometimes we end up hating the things we used to like and vice versa.

Lol! I think i'm lucky because my body doesnt tolerate too much junk food. When i have too much of a good thing i quickly become bored or disgusted by it. Happens with everything alcohol, chocolate, pizza, lol! There is only so much of something i can have and then it isnt a treat anymore but more a punishment. Does it happen to other people? It seems it only happens to me of all the people in my family, lol!

We lived in Germany for 2 years.  Germany and Liver are synonymous.  She tried sweat and sour liver one day. Blecch!  The only good liver is the one in your body!  God did not intend for it to be eaten!
