AI Luck

Way to lucky

The AI always gets good "Lucky" stuff (except for rangers). They always get the precursor device that makes them more powerful constantly and they always get the precursor device that morphs bad planets into habitable ones. I can almost guarantee no one has ever had the gradual power and the planet one. I believe the AI is WAY to lucky. Although, it would be to easy to get the gradually powerful one. The Altarians in my last game got 2 "Luky Rangers" in the last few turns. Luck doesn't help a human player much, so how can you mod it so a person can actually get these?

Why do they have that?

Because that is their freaking racial advantage.

You also have to factor that you are not the only civilization. Not only does the event have to happen you also have 1 out of "number of civs in galaxy" chance to receive the benefit.

True, but I've played so many games I can't count em', and I've never gotten the rare ones.

anybody tried modding so that the player himself gets 100& luck?

There are also other factors. If you have a poor military rating you're more likely to find Precursor ships for instance. If you're winning all the time you won't get as many good events.

In my games, the AI has got the lucky rangers on a number of occasions. In one game I had 3 lucky Rangers as the game progressed and had all 3 flying around at one time. Though i've never had the habitable planets one but that doesn't mean i didn't take advantage of it. There was a planet rush between several races and it led to a few interesting wars.
