None. Metaverse game = no mods.

This is one thing about the metaverse that I really do not like and if u r listening stardock could u please, please put on that long to do list u have...

Allow modded GC games to be submitted to metaverse for scoring.

How about letting a group of players who have been playing for some time test and sanction mods for metaverse game use. Alot of players beta test for the love of the game so there would be vounteers I am sure.

No, this would open a whole series of boxes of Pandora. Modded MV games were partly responsible for taking the fun out of the GC1 Metaverse.

Or simply just make the cheat filter more discerning--say, provide a hash of the data used. Then we can make our own mini-metas that filter through the metaverse and grab scores whose hash matches our particular sanctioned set of mods (while said games still flag as cheat on the main meta).

Doesnt seem to update your info in your medals these days other than add a new one if you qualify

I just want to be able to use something simple like a UI mod in this. That doesn't change the gameplay any so I dont see why we shouldn't be able to?

I understand this could be a problem. Thats why I said let only 'sanctioned' mods score in the metaverse. Those sanctioned mods would be tested for game balance and only 1 allowed per metaverse game( so u could not have a combo mod effect which will greatly advantaged u), this would inject more fun into metaverse games and mean u do not face a choice of a metaverse scoring game or a cool modded game.

Stardock probably do not have the time to sanction mods, too busy developing, the most we could expect from them to give us example mods (this is true in 1.2 I believe) and set up a system in the library to allow the GC 2 metaverse playing community to sanction there own mods.

A simple way of sanctioning mods for the metaverse would be a voting method, ie... u download a mod play it, if in your opinion its balanced and suitable for metaverse play u check 'yes suitable for metaverse' or 'no, imbalanced, unsuitable for metaverse'. Once lets say a mod has 100 votes with lets say 80% or above saying suitable for metaverse, its allowed to be used with no cheat flag.

All that is needed is basic ground rules to be agreed upon.

Perhaps cosmetic mods should be the only ones allowed?

I really like the example UI provided in 1.2 but obviously can't use it to play metaverse games which is normally what I play. I understand the why behind not allowing mods since it would seriously skew the scores but if there is any way to allow UI mods but not allow other game file changes then I would be very happy .

Do the modded games started up under the Metaverse show up under your metaverse account as completed yet cheat flagged games?

If you select a modded option, then start a game under Metaverse does it show up as a completed game under teh metaverse, even though it is cheat flagged/ And does it effect your score?

I want to use the UI mods as well and i think they should allow certain mods in metaverse that dont change the gameplay.
