Animations Buggy

Artifacts left behind on menu animations

WindowFX is a bit buggy on my system. I like the animation effects on the menus, but they leave behind garbage on my screen. Application windows do this sometimes too.

My animations are configured to Expand & Shrink.. I've tried others, and have similar results...

Your drivers seem to fully support the APIS required by WindowFX.

Using the newest update of WindowFX, XP SP2 with all updates, etc...

YES I HAVE THE LATEST DRIVERS, LATEST WINDOWFX, FULLY UPDATED XP SYSTEM. It does not leave the artifacts when not running windowfx.

I have looked into this and I can reproduce this IF I set my OS menu appear settings to 0ms.  With things set as the default I cannot reproduce it.

We are looking into a solution.  For now if you disable open animations then all is well.

Do you have semi transparent taskbar enabled?  Enabling that seemed to be linked too.

It also only seems to be impacting the startmenu submenus, not real menus and not windows.  Which is logical as the startmenu submenus are 'special'

Per my post in the other thread, please check if you are using TweakUI and have set OS menu delay to 0. That can conflict with WindowFX menu animations in the All Programs submenus.
