Is putting a Restaurant of Enternity on an Influence Bonus Tile a good idea?

Or is it a No-No like putting a Manufacturing Capital on a Manufacturing Bonus Tile?

Well, I guess the title pretty much says it all, but while I'm here I'll ask one more question for someone more knowledgable.

Last game I reseached whatever tech it is to get a better government, Interstellar Government I think. I chose Democracy but it never seemed to show me as getting the bonuses. It shows Democracy as getting 50 for a few areas(50-50-50, i forget exactly which three areas, i know one is economy). All it ever showed was me as receiving was a bonus for being an Imperialist, the +20%. I did chose Democracy! It sure looked like I had chosen and was 'Democracy' on the Gov't tab in the 'Civilization Manager' screen. When the government vote comes up is there anything more to it than just clicking the 'Vote' button. I couldn't seem to find anything else on there clickable. All I could do is click 'Vote' and that was it. I'm probably just missing something really simple here but it had me thinking 'what am i doing wrong with this gov't stuff', lol.

Don't forget, if you know the answer... is a Restaraunt of Eternity on an Influence bonus tile a good idea?

I'd doubt it. The restaurant increases influence to all the planets. The bonus tiles just increase influence on that one planet and only if used with an embassy/exchange center.

The higher governments give an economic bonus, so that you make more money. It's supposed to also increase military and social production, but there seems to be some doubt about whether it's doing that properly.

Any Galactic Wonders/Trade goods are not affected by bonus tiles.

No. It gives an overall bonus, and doesn't use the tile bonus.

I chose Democracy but it never seemed to show me as getting the bonuses.

Bonuses from gov'ts are hidden, and apply only to economy (10% bonus from rep, 20% from demo, 30% from fed).
