Beta 3 patch, game now unplayable

no text in game

After doing the recent patch, my game no longer has text. The buttons on the main menu, research and planet screens. Everything is blank. I have played enough that I can still move around, but for actually playing its worthless. Please help

You need to reboot for the Beta3 patch to work properly. Try that.

Have rebooted, anyone have any ideas before I go for the re-install?

I had *exactly* the same problem, but a reboot solved it for me.
