Ship bug???

I started a new game and made a ship right at turn 1. I used a hull from a mod pack that I have. I played a few turns and decided to start a new game. In the new game (with exactly the same settings) the ship was not there, so I made another one with the exact same name. I checked my ships folder and they were BOTH there. Just for grins I started another game, and you guessed it--niether were there.

Why are the ships I am making not showing up in new games?

Because you haven't researched the required hulls. They're there because of the mod, but they aren't researched. Don't expect "Fixes" for a mod, they're optional.

yes cause you can research many hull types in turn 1

what it is more likely is that miniturzation
if you started all 3 times with the same race... then... its a way of gc2 giving you the finger, and i wouldnt stand for that

OK from now on I will use the default hulls and wait to do do the hull research. The mods are for tiny, small and cargo. Do you have to do research to get these?

There are three small and tiny hulls. Two of them you start with, one of them you get with advanced hull building.

i have a similar bug but without a mod!

i built a custom ship, everything working fine
next game, i built i new custom ship with the same name, i hit "overwrite" since i dont need the old one any more (it was from a previous game)
then i use the govenour to change ship production (in this case from "defender" to "medium attacker")
doing this, all starports start building my "medium attacker"
but when the ship pops out, it is not the "medium attacker" i just designed, its the "medium attacker" left over from my last game (in which i was not that technologically advanced when building medium hulls, so it really sucked and was a lot weaker then the ship i expected to pop out)
in the shipyard i can see my new design, the much better ship, and when i change production manually back and forth then in the end the correct new design will be built
this bug happend to me 3 times yet, one time in 1.0X, one time in 1.1beta1 and once in 1.1beta3

Yes, this is definately a bug. I am able to start a new game with those moded hulls with speed 5 colony ship. I should not be allowed to do that. When I make a ship with a "core" hull I can only make a speed 3. Ship building definately needs some attention. DEV TEAM: please accept this as a constructive comment. This game and your work is superb.
