The most amazing end game save ever!

"Hypothetically" speaking...

What would happen if I submitted a game where the score was so ridiculously high as to actually be higher than the number 1 EMPIRE score?

Since this would be my only score, (I would in theory delete all of my other scores for this purpose) it wouldn't be diluted with the square root average whatever.....

Now obviously this score would be about 5 times the current high score for any character, this score would be more than 6 Million points.

Would I then have the number one metaverse empire all to myself?

Of course it would be a legit, non hacked score.... so long as you consider understanding the scoring system and making it work for you to be legit....

Would anyone care? (prolly not, lol) Would the giant holes in the scoring system be plugged? Would my score just be deleted to hide those holes?

Ok, well, since that didn't draw any interest, lets remove the hypothetical from it.

I have a game right now where I could end it and receive a score of 4,680,000 ++

I need only to hit end turn during a couple more HBO movies, and it will exceed the highest EMPIRE score, which was somewhere in the 5 million range. Since it will be my only game played on that character, that single game will exceed the biggest empire score currently on record.

Does anyone think they will then fix the scoring system, or will they just delete my score?

I really didn't want to go to these ridiculous lengths, but I haven't seen any developer discussion about fixing the scoring system, and I figure a single game score of 6 or 7 million might get their attention?

I am ready to put the game down, having never seen the first wonderful patch, because the metaverse is broken and shows no sign of being repaired.

I say submit it. I think the whole scoring thing could use a redo, and be explained. The only reason I bothered submitting one was so that when talking about the AI, no one would think I was playing on the beginner levels.

Ok... I just have to wait until I am watching a movie or something, I just can't bring myself to do the boring end turn thing without some other entertainment. Then I can get those last 2 million points and submit.

Well, it turns out that somewhere around 210 years, there is a persistent ctd that occurs every time you hit that year.

So, I am stuck with my 4,600,000++ score due to a ctd, lol.

Not that I blame the designers, I am pretty sure the game was not designed to go that many years...

So, I won't single handledly be the first place empire, just the second or third place empire, lol.

Hopefully it will be up on the scoreboards by tommorrow evening for everyone to be amazed with.

Not amazed at my skill, just amazed that I actualy hit end turn THAT MANY TIMES.

I suppose if I really wanted the 1st place empire I could play one more 200 year game, but HOPEFULLY this will prove the point and get something done about the problem.

Congratulations, your number #1. I think you need to create an empire to be ranked in the empire section. How about the One Game Empire, or the End Turn Button Empire?

Your experiment shows the most blatant problem with the Metaverse: You can get a lot of points just for pressing the end turn button.

Yes, that's good you did submit it, and it is good you achieved an absurd score.
I think, that the main flaw in the scoring system is that when you by all means won the game, it forces you to play longer - even when absolutely nothing meanigful can be done in additional years.

Wow wow wow, whats all this 'absurd score' and 'broken metaverse' nonsense?

There's no jinxery going on here, I've discovered that score per turn is actually based on how well u press the end turn button, not what ur empire looked like at the time of pressing.

Sheesh, u guys are so hard on people like this who are simply more refined in their clicking manner. Get a life and learn to click like a real man, Trespasser's my new idol.

I feel somewhat guilty for submitting it... but if it gets the developers to change the scoring system that will ease my guilt....

Nice, if this doesn't get the scoring system revamped I don't know what could.

I shouldn't be penalized for not wanting to spam the turn button after the game is already "won" just so I can get a high score.

My games take way to long without purposely dragging it out. More of a challenge to shorten game time then to lengthen it. I agree the score should reflect that.

That is certainly an impressive score but I have to agree with you and ED. I don't want to play a "slot machine", I had tons of fun cranking Maso's out on the GCI Metaverse, but like many others eventually had Meta-burnout. This time around, I'm playing to enjoy it and try to play for enjoyment rather than score cranking.

That having been said, certainly the playing field needs to be level...after all, not all of us have a 4 year old that devoted!
