Governments

Add/Edit

Ok, So I've expanded upon the current tech tree, intend to chuck a few more good/evil techs, done some anomolies and generally increased the life of my game, just working on some models now.

However, I added 3 new governments to the tech tree, each specialising in one particular area, rather then simply excelling in them all as they do now, only I don't know where to find the file I need to edit for the Governments, or even if its possible.

If you know where it is, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

They don't appear until bumped.

Govenrment only increases economy. It does not have any effect on military, social, or research production. The manual is wrong and so is the ingame display. It was changed and there is a post somehwere on the forums by frogboy confirming this.

I took a quick look, nothing about the governments, I'll maybe sign up at the weekend and ask specifically the question I asked here. However, your comment has also beckoned another question

Is it possible to add in other effects for the governments? No point in adding more governments if all they do is economy... that only fills one of my governments up, lol.

Governments, not Techs

however, the governments are defined by the technology that is researched. all bonuses for the governments are listed in the tech tree. but if you're talking factions, i can understand.

The bonuses you get from researching the government and actually changing to that government are different. The tech gives you bonuses for understanding the type of government, and switching to it actually gives you the bonuses (and morale restrictions) of having that governmental type.
