AI is CHEATING COMPLETELY!

The last game i played didnt last more than 30 weeks!!! wtf??? now can someone explain to me how the *BEEP* did the Dregin empire manage to research planetary invasion in 30 weeks? I checked myself, i played with the dregin and it would of taken me 148 weeks to research planetary invasion so i want to know how the hell they managed to invade me when the game was only 30 weeks long?. God i love the word bulllshit.

Thanks all for the tips and cyber next time please try not to be a lets see how im gonna treat this guy person, forums are made for helping people out

You didn't ask for help though. You came on and claimed the game was "cheating completely" A very serious accusation on a game that is well known for not cheating.

I'm currently playing against the AI on Suicidal, medium map, 9 opponnents, and the Drengin pulled planetary invasion around at week 40. They also researched a handful of other techs on the way. I don't think the AI is cheating as Technological Capitals give the proper bonuses now.

I expect the Drengin to research planetary invasion. It's what they do, so I watch for it and trade it from them for something like xeno entertainment

EDIT: Btw, in my game, the Drengin stomped the Terrans by turn 100.

I can't say I've seen the AI cheat that way...  The closest thing I've seen to the AI cheating is the Dregin somehow fit 1173 soldiers on a carrier with a 1000 capacity (Yeah, I checked from a previous save to see if they brought 2, but they didn't).  Forunately, I am running the BETA patch and after that invasion failed, it went into an endless loop of that same transport trying to invade my planet with 0 soldiers and thus had to Alt+Tab out to close the game.  I haven't had that happen since though.  The only thing I think is a little shady is that the AI gets Miniaturization techs REALLY fast and has somehow researched Expert Miniaturization before researching the one before.  I know they didn't steal it since nobody else had it, so they couldn't have stolen it or traded for it.  (This was on Challenging, small map, vs. 5 civs).

OK I know you've kissed and made up now, and that's nice of you. (so just ignore the next comment )

...I get a real kick from these sorts of posts. "OMG I got beaten. The AI must cheat and do all sorts of stuff omg! *I* personally cannot do [XYZ] therefore [XYZ] is impossible under all known laws of physics! I can't believe the game is so broken and buggy!"

Anyway, back to your reguarly scheduled programme, and good luck getting better at the game.

Ya Xan thats why i said sorry? And usually when you see someone that doesnt know what his doing (me) you either help them out or laught at them, so um can we end this here? or do i have to sing a sorry song for you?

Sing the sorry song!! Nothing is better then a sorry song after a good fight and then a sweet make up. Last, you can smoke a cigarette.

From "Hee Haw". Only those that get a senior discout when buying the game might know the tune though:

Gloom!, Dispair!, and agony on me!
deep dark depression...
excessive misery!

If it wern't for bad luck...
I'd have no luck at ALL!
OHHHHH (best part)

Gloom! Dispair! and agony on meeeeee....

Apology accepted! Don't worry, everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes I jump on them too severely. But bear in mind that programmers are less likely to put their heart and soul into a game (or read the message boards) when they get unfair criticism.

This probably isn't a problem with GC2, though, considering that it looks like it's going triple-platinum... The biggest problem is how to prevent Stardock from all retiring as millionaires without making MoM2 first.
