HELP ME PLEASE

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY MY GAME DOESN'T RUN, I MANAGED TO INSTALL IT, BUT NOW WHEN I TRY TO PLAY THE GAME ALL I SEE IS A BLACK SCREEN WITH A MOUSE CURSOR. I THEN HAVE TO RESTART MY COMPUTER AND TRY AGAIN WITH NO LUCK. WHEN I FIRST TRIED TO RUN THE GAME I GOT A POP UP ERROR BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT WAS SAID. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

Have you read the sticky posts about getting the game running? Have you verified your video drivers are up to date? I am guessing, as you don't give us anything to go on, that the pop up said your video drivers were old.

I think it did say my video drivers were to old, but how would i get them updated

Calm down, and take off caps lock. Some people get annoyed and won't read a post in full caps, even if it is a serious problem. The pop-up was almost certainly a driver issue, anything older than 2004 doesn't have a chance. Update your drivers, and the game should run fine. (make sure you patch it, the older versions do have some CTD issues)

Find out what manufacturer (ATI or NVIDIA usually) made your card, and go to their website

actually, you can use some drivers that are older than 2004. I;m using an Radeon Igp 340m (or something like that) it's one of those onboard "mobile" video cards that steals memory from your RAM. i'm using a driver from May, 2004 and my game runs perfectly fine. But you should check your manufacturer's website for the driver for yoru card. If you can't find it, go to the COMPUTER's manufacturer's website (hp, ibm etc.) and get the latest update for your model.
