Markets not cumulative?

So, after building a farm, an entertainment center, and 8 markets, a planet doesn't seem to make any more cash flow than if your replaced the markets with factories.

I'm guessing the market is not cumulative?

The market IS cumulative - you also need something for it to factor onto. Once your population builds up you will see that the income from a market heavy planet far outweighs the income from one with only a single market.

Ok thanks... Population is still fairly low there so that may be it.
