Transparent Logos

How do you make them?!

Hello all,

Does anybody know how to make my custom logos background transparent and what is the best free program to do that? I already know that the logos must be 128 x 128 png format, but I can't seem to get them transparent. I am using Arcsoft Photostudio 5.5 and can't find the option to create the transparency layer, that's why I am looking for a free, better program

It's taken a year for me to see your email. I hope you'vce had some luck in this time.

I have just found a great freeware programme that creates transparent bitmaps (bmp, png etc.). It's called PAINT.Net. I found it only yesterday and it's been the answer I've been searching for.
Full transparent PNG support and very easy to use.
