Forum has much improved

The forum seems to be much faster now. The interface and quote boxes are interesting but the watch post button never works for me for some reason.

I'd say the forum has a few issues:

ok, im starting to get irratated with everyone who says something about the forum. My advice (coming from 7 years of running 13 forums). If you dont have any thoughts or ideas (stupid or otherwise) please just write one post concerning the issues, politley, with intellegence (haha) and sensibility (asking for miracles now) while trying to be helpful. do not how ever repeat threads, keep it in one organized thread for easy reading and to ensure that your post is seen. In fact, by creating new threads, your causing more strain on the server, and ergo making it slower.

Result is that the bugs are seen and can be fixed, and the users alone are doing their part to help. now, back to my forums, almost time for the nightly full database backup

For starters, given that there is no search feature so you cant really blame people for posting redundant posts. They have no tool to wade through everything and it's not practical to do it manually. I attempted to write this centralized list of problems you ask for (that is the link above) but within 3 hours it was 3 pages deep in the forums with no sign the developers saw it (and if we don't have a search feature then they probably don't either).

I should also add, neither Yellow Jester nor myself seem to have written our posts in a manner which defy any of your other criteria. Both his and mine are polite, I'm not sure how you'd define "with intelligence" but both he and I are using clear wording to describe our problem (haha), and neither of us are demanding instant fixes (which I assume takes care of sensibility).

So basicaly, chill out.

There is a search--in fact, it should have been right at your left as you posted that reply. The trouble with it is that 1) it's down below the recent posts list, and 2) it only searches thread titles (not content) and most of the posters here couldn't write an approriate title to save their lives....

I'll be damned. I never saw that there (and I've seen a decent number of other people post about no search function also). While the issues you mention are certainly draw backs, that should be quite helpful to me. Thanks for the tip Kryo.

I will still stick to my guns on my point above though . Anything that falls 3 pages deep isn't likely (imo) to be seen by the devs.
