The A.I. attacked me with my own ships!

I was ruling as a high tech race last game and one of the other races was doing really bad.....so i decided to give him some of my ships (since i had a tech advantage to all other races these where the best ships in the game besides the my own).

then after some 50 turns just when i am at war with th humans he attacks my resource starbase with the ships *i* gave him!!
basterd!!...he almost got my space station aswell.

twas a nice turn of events.

Next time, don't voluntarily give away your ships to others, unless you're getting something for it

haha thats good. Hey that brings up another issue, THE COMP PLAYERS DO NOT ACTIVELY ENGAGE IN LABBING. What I mean is, i have never seen a comp player turtle up, and focus all availible resouces on research spiking. Every game I find that I am the only one doing it, and I come out with anti-matter torps when they are still using plasma IIs... YES even on max difficulty in 1.0X

Reminds me of somthing I heard back in the 90's... The US had given planes and weapons to one of the Middle East countries. A couple years later that country decided it didn't like the US any more. There were two incidents where they used the gift planes to attack our planes. Our pilots essentially hit a kill switch that deactivated the missles fired at us, then blew the idiots out of the sky.

I don't know if this was real, but find it an intriguing idea to add in protection to any ships traded/given to the other races. If they try to use them against us, we simply shut them down.
