Custom Star Types?

Does anyone know how to make custom star types for each race(s) homeworlds?

IE: Lets say I want the Thalans (bug people) star color to be GREEN with a BLUE Halo...

Now I can change all of one type (like Yellow) to be Green with a Blue Halo, but then ALL of the habitable star systems have the same color.

Being Alien races and all it would be nice to give the Yor a Purple Star, Thalan a Green, Iconian Blue, etc...

Is this in any way, shape, or form possible?

I'd also like to know if you can change their size, would be cool to see a gigantic red giant that your ships had to "go around", might even be strategic if its large enough.
