Simple question: applying changes?

Hey all.

I've just modified a .XML file in order to change the morale bonus of the Virtual Reality Center from 40 to 60 (Considering the Zero-G thingy has a value of 55). So I loaded my game and changes haven't taken effect so far (I've loaded the game and waited around 15 turns waiting for the research to be completed).

So my question is: what do I have to do to apply the changes? Please don't tell me restart...

Oops, this should be in the modding forum. Don't know why did it end up here.

It is. The way the forums work they regurgitate all the posts in the GalCivII general forums, turning them into a gigantic mess that is impossible to sort through. They also stay in their original forum. This is a 'feature' that I feel should be kicked in the jimmy and removed.

I think you might need to start a new game to get the new XML effects.

Oh, and you might not be able to play in the Metaverse with those changes either.

Oh, noes!

I haven't modified any of the files in the MetaverseData, so I should be OK.

Meta is meant to be UNMODDED. Even if the game is submittable you Honor should say, "No, I can't do that because I have changed a fundemental element of the game."

At least that is what mine says.
