Hyperdrive

would it be a balancing issue to have only the terrans start with hyperdrive? They discovered it first after all. The other races only require two weeks to research right off the bat or something like that, they already know where the planets are, terrans have to guess.

The game is set decades after the first one. Everyone has had the drive for 50 some odd years, at least by the storyline.
