ship lights quirk

has anyone else noticed they dont work

one of the many cool add ons from the custom ships that i was happy to see different from beta are the lights you can place on the ships... if they worked like i think they should. They all appear as just white round spots. first i thought it was just in the build screen, then i noticed they were the same when traveling on the screen. still hopeful i was disapointed to see there also just white rounf things in the battle scenese to. how should the lights act and how can i fix this anyone? NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X driver.

yeah i have the same card..........and i get NO colors also, except mine are just black, not even white....i hope this isn't a gc related problem.......grrr

The game requires a fully DirectX9 compliant video card to display everything correctly; the GeForce4MX series are only DX7-compliant (the MX'es are actually not much more than slightly enhanced GeForce2's). To my knowledge the requirement of a DX9-compliant card is mentioned in the system requirements.

Unfortunately, there's no cure for it but to get a new videocard that supports all the neccessary features (you should be able to find a reasonably priced Radeon 9k series card or GeForce 5k/6k series card that does the trick).
