Hot Seat gaming?

#5 You can play a quasi-Hot seat game with someone by loading up the game as GalCiv2 cheat (use the cheat parameter). Then when you set up the game, you let the AI play out a few turns and then have your friend pick one of the races they want to control. Have them select that unit and hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z.

OK, Brad said this in another post. Anyone know whetehr there will ever be a full on hot seat option for GC2?

me and my friend tried to play the game of hotseat by hitting cheat CTRL-SHIFT-Z, and tried all kind of variations but it didn't work so well... the best option we could think off was to play the human player's turn, press ctrl+shift+z on computer player, play his turn; that part is very good, BUT, when we hit "end turn", computer plays with the "other" player, gains next turn movement and everything, and he spend the movement and builds stuff... even if we hit end turn on the "new player's turn", then the original player is replaced with computer, and computer spends this turn's movement, so it's impossible to even try to play, because computer plays... maby if you could just add "passive intelligence AI" or something like that, so AI would not interfere with what the players are trying to do?

It's a whole lot more than you would think. But this topic has been discussed a million times, and I think there is a sticky on it. it "probably" will come later in an expansion of some sort.
