Draginol event?

Has anyone seen this event? what happened?

Alright I was happily playing along (and losing) in a huge galaxy 9 player map. Stuck out in the center

Suddenly I'm told that one of my planets has an evil vibe going on and that we should remove the colony.

Well I waited a couple of turns, but eventually destroyed the colony and the message "Draginol has been destroyed and the universe breathes safer" appeared.

I tried to reload it, but I didn't get the random event.. some other Civ did.

So I'm curious, what happens when you do get that random event and don't destroy the galaxy? Do the Dread Lords enter the game?

In Galciv I the Draginol event made a new minor race appear with VERY powerful ships. It always said you had to take them out soon or they would eventually take over the galaxy.

Well, I doubt the Draginol as described here actually makes it into the game, but the whole "evil vibe" thing seems to fit, at least:

Yeah I read the backstory and so I knew where Draginol was about. I was kind of wondering what would have happened if I had just let the game go, but alas I'm trying to fight out a win and didn't want to have the Dread Lords pop up in my backyard.

You ought to have just saved the game and let it play out.

Yeah 2:00am makes for fuzzy thinking.

When I tried to go back to an earlier saved game, the event happened on another race's world.

i have had this evil event happen on my planets about five times now, i did nothing. four or five turns afterwards it said the evil was gone, so i think this is pointless... It might be bugged

I let the game run and nothing happened. I had the event pop up on me. About 3 turns later, I got the message that Draginol had been taken out and the galaxy was safe. Yawn. Maybe a bug?
