Is there any point to funding espionage after your espionage level is "advanced"? will funding espionage undermine a leaders approval rating, and possibly cause a civil war or something?

Yeh it appears that it is useless to fund anything once you reach that level...
I too was wondering. And too bad we can't use our spies to sabotage the opposing AI.

Espiange is deffenatly not useless, it deturmins how much you know about the race you are spying on. If you have advanced level, you can click on the planits and ships and see everything that there is to know about them, as if they were your own. (Ofcoruse you cant change things etc.)

It also gives you better odd of stealing techs, etc...

But do you still need to keep fundng it?i.e does it degrade with time if you don't fund it?

but what if I have advanced spy level, and I'm fairly technologically advanced...why then should I fund espionage? will my spies sabotage anything? assassinate a leader? drop approval rating to insane lows and cause a revolt?

Still doesn't explain if it is necessary to continue funding after reaching the Advanced level of espionage.
