Multiple prerequisites for techs

Does it already exist ? If not, do you think it's possible to make new ones that require more than one previous tech through modding ?
It seems techs can require an alignment but that's all I know.

Well, it was the case in GC 1 but it is no longer the case in GC2. BTW, why would you have multiple prerequisites?

That was a nightmare in GalCiv 1. I much prefer it this way. There is a *ton* of techs and it's hard enough keeping things straight with the linear nature of the tech tree.

I have noticed that techs will often name Vessels that become available with researching a tech- but then, in parentheses, (3 other techs required). However, it fails to mention what these techs are. Any ideas on how to find out, besides scouring the tech tree in search of the same text?

I would like to see prerequisites in some cases. For example:
Starbase weapons and defenses. Even though I don't have any shield or mass driver tech I can equip my starbase with these. I would like to see these options enabled only when I have developed those types of tech. As it stands, in my current game, I should only be able to add missile batteries and armor plating since those there the offense and defensive techs I have researched. Just my 2 cents.

It is already available in the patch that came out Friday. I installed it last night and it works great. Check the downloads page on this site for the patch (or get it from Stardock Central).

I guess my wish for this was mostly because there could be a few "combination" techs that would make a civ stand out because others don't have it. It's already the case with alignment techs but it's a bit limited.
But I realize it would be a mess when it comes to actually looking for something precise ^^;
