Redundant Error Message re resolution on launch

I get a pop-up window when I launch telling me that my resolution is below the minimum supported 1024x768 and that I should right click on my desktop and change my settings. However, when I click the OK box on the error dialogue the game just launhes and runs fine. It resets the resolution automatically both entering the game and when exiting back to what it was. Seems like a redundant error message to me.
