Can somebody please explain?

I was playing a Battle of the Gods scenario with 8 races. by the time i saw this ship 4 were aleady gone. in the Battle of the gods, all the tech is researched so I already took the largest hull and filled it with weapons and defense but I couldnt find anyway to match this drath ship. so can someone explain how if all the tech is the same and the ship size is the same and I even have bonuses to miniaturization how I couldnt match this? Hi!

I am not 100% sure, but maybe that ship was so powerful because of racial bonuses?
I don't recall whether the Drath are powerful warriors or not...

military base bonus could be crazy like that.

helped a lot in dreadlord siege..

here is what ya do. or at least...this is what ya can try .


His weakest armor is against mass drivers... so.. get a tiny ship.. give it three mass drivers (48 attack) and 2 engines (use the mk 2s instead of the mk 3s).. for 10 movement.

You can fit 14 of these in a fleet. I dunno if it will take him out.. but your attack matches his defense, and you get 14 shots per round (at least at first) and he only gets one. You will lose one ship every round...but I bet you take him down eventually.

I would also recommend building a military starbase (or as many of them as you can) and outfitting them with the ship assists to defense and attack. I dont think the bonuses apply to tiny ships.. but it will help you out with your bigger ships.

Well, don't forget that the other defense will help to for their square root value, so you must expect sqrt(189+81) = sqrt(270) roughly 16 more defense from inappropriate defense.

Time for spying. The info popup on the ship should explain what is in. And if you have access to their empire wide bonus (from racial, tech, starbase) that would help you to understand what is going.

Are you sure that there isn't any military starbase with assist modules to boost its attack and defense in all fields?

yup, no military base close by, I had already taken those out with my own huge ship that just got beat down by that thing

I wonder if he has alot of military mining bases... or if maybe that ship was his survey ship and he got alot of anomali bonuses and then upgraded it.

I dunno... i wonder...
