Man this game is AWSOME!!!!!!!!! I cant believe a game like this could even exist (its that good)!!!!!!! Man I now award Stardock to be the greatest game company to ever exist!!!!!!!!! But theres no word that could possibly even come close to explaining how dang AWSOME galciv2 is!!!!!!!!!! MAN anyone who doesnt yet have this game I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING IT NO MATTER WHAT THE COST!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya this game is soooooooooo good it should be considered a lengendary game! Man this game is way ahead of its time and far more superior then anyother known game!

I would actually rank this ahead of Civ4, I am a HUGE civ fan, but this game is fun all the way through!

I just had a game on chellenging. Only Me (Terrans), and two other races. I was allied with one, while the other controlled about 70% influence on the map. Found 6 rangers in a short timespan, and the unallied race declared war upon us. After years of fighting us allies held our ground. until the massive ships that the enemy was hiding just ran us over. Wow, i've never seen so many large ships in a fleet lol. Next time, there is always next time.

It seems that influence>war, but war can be a quick way to kill off a civilization.

I think the random events really make this game, without themit would be a little less fun. But i will tell you this, after nine hours of playing a single game, i am never bored throughout the whole game.

I know. I can't believe I've said this but it's true, GalCiv II is actually better than Civ IV which is something I never thought I'd say.

The title says it all. This ranks up there with my favorite strategy games of all time. Right up there with Classics like Genghis Kahn, Romance of The Three Kingdoms before they made a million sequals of that game. I have never played civ. 4 but I liked the first and second ones but the third was was less then great. Gal. Civ. is only going to get better also after all the tweaks and what not.
