peace and tech

when you are at war with a civ and they ask for peace is it possible to get all their tech, or a planet or two for the peace.

Probably no planet. It depends on how badly they want peace.

If you are near to wiping them out they will probably give you all their tech and money. If it has been a back and forth war with you only slightly ahead they might not give you anything.

The best thing to do is ask for what you want. Asking for too much does not affect the AI's atitude. Just back down to what they will agree to. Try different combinations and change the order of request. It is amazing what works sometimes.

It's definitely possible to get planets from a peace treaty. The enemy definitely has to be a little desperate, but you can always ask for them. Sometimes you'll actually get them.

I've got a planet out of a peace treaty before. But then I immeddiately declared war again, and he got wise to it and didn't offe rme another planet. Hahahahaha!

I've never had anyone far enough above me in tech to get anything serious there, but I've got well into 5 figure BC settlements.
