BUG: Influence

So after i took over the yor planet and and built a starbase i took a break. Came back to load it and i noticed in a couple of turns my influence was practically gone. Now the Yor gave in after i took over their planet to the surrounding race (forget thier name), would that be enough influence to cause such a boom?
