Moving the map

I was watching the tutorials movies (great tutorials by the way!) and I noticed that you could not only drag the map with the left mouse button, but it looked like you could rotate the map just as easily. How do you do that?? I know there are the 1-4 view buttons but that didn't seem to let me rotate the map.

Hold down your middle mouse button, or in my case, the scroll wheel. Then rotate away. If you want to leave the map in a new orientation, be sure make the appropriate change in the options menu, otherwise, it always snaps back to the default view.
