Questions after the first game

Hello:

Some questions where I could not find any answers in-game or in the manual:

1. How can you upgrade starbases. I have researched all kinds of techs for that, starbase fortification and such but never had the option to a) create my own starbase in the shipyard or b) upgrade my starbase with the upgrade button (was always greyed out)

2. If you have several fleets stationed in front of a planet you want to attack, can they all attack together or just one after another (i.e. I had 5 time 15 points fleets and they attacked subsequently and not together)

3. Similar to the question above, can only one fleet of troop transports attack at a time, had several and they also attacked subsequently

4. Can you automatically launch ships or do you have to do that manually

5. Do resources (influence, military, economic,...) provide overall general bonuses or just bonuses to the area around them?

6. Is the ruins special good for entertainment centers of embassy (happiness or influence), the in-game description is a bit misleading I think.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheers

1) Take a new Constructor to the Starbase and choose your upgrade

2) One fleet at a time. If they could all attack at the same time, the'd all be in the same fleet and there wouldn't be much point to the logistics ability. Unless you mean, can you select them all then attack and have them all go in one by one - I'm pretty sure you can do that by highlighting the fleets together then moving - but they'll all move one at a time anyway

3) One transport at a time. You can redesign Transports later to have more troop modules and therefore raise your % to win.

4) I seem to remember an option for auto launch. Instead of that, right click the blue button that appears on the right hand side of the screen after you build a ship. That launches it.

5) Universal bonus..... (well Galactic anyway!)

6) Don't know which one you mean but I havent had any trouble working them out - they either say Influence or Morale as far as I can recall.

#3. Actually if you have the Logistics (space for more ships in a fleet) you can: for example put two Transports in one fleet (for 2000 troops) then click on the planet with that fleet to invade/attack with the 2000 all at once, instead of using just one transport at a time (1000 Troops).
