Graphics Settings

Does the game auto-detects the graphics level? There aren't any options to control it besides the resolution and the AA. The maximum AA setting seems to be X4. I read that the max is X6 or X7. Why doesn't it appear to me? Hardware limitations? Also, i don't see any lights on the dark sides of the planets. What's up with that? Is it only me or do the planets in the battle viewer seem a bit fuzzy?

My specs:

P4 2Ghz
1GB DDR RAM
GeForce 6600GT 128 AGP

We didn't have a lot of time to test additional video options before the game went gold, so that's why there are so few in the 1.0. GalCiv2 only lists up to the highest anti-aliasing that your card reports that it can do. You may want to check your settings in the NVidia control panel to see if it's an artificial limit.
