Influence bug?

I'm not sure if this is a bug but today when i loaded my last saved game the influence boarders were much smaller than they were. This was for all races on the map. After one turn they expanded a bit further but then no more. What's going on? I haven't tried to repeat this in another game to know if it persists.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

I think it takes a few turns for you to find the previous values. It is somekind of mathematical suite.

When you first load a save game it seems like pretty much everything is defaulted, then over the next couple of turns things get normalized to how it was when you saved.

After several turns, it still hasn't returned to it's previous state. Is this suppose to happen?

the other race's influence may have evolved as well. Those boundaries are not borders but rather the space where you influance is superior, eve if only by one unit (say 125 whatever vs 124, the parsec is yours). So the visual border varies often by a few parsecs ilustrating what may be little variances in influence that only has an impact in your fringe parsecs. It's only worrying if it keeps getting closer to your planets
