Sure, you can do that. You can use Stardock Central's archiver to archive from work then restore at home. Should be seamless.

Um, the archive files should be zip files.  Are you looking in the backup folder under the sdcentral folder?

I am archiving as well but is it supposed 5hrs+? I started it 5 hours ago and it is still going. There is nothing else in the backgroud except startdock. I was wondering what were some other people archving time.

Ps.

Archiving for me was very fast, a few minutes. However I could not reinstall it in another computer that did not had an internet connection at all: SDC start looking for a connexion to confirm my account and will not let me restore the archive before it is done.

Recommend hyperhide (freeware at http://www.frontierdesigngroup.com/HyperHide.asp) for your boss dilemma. Not that I would ever recommend slacking at work

They always archive as .sdc. You just need to select 'all files' under 'files of type' to restore the archives. Remember, it's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature.

Oddly, I can't edit my former post about hyperhide. The software has sadly turned into nagware. email me if you want the older version that doesn't do that.
