Some Help plz?

I need some help with the following:
1) On windows startup the GalCiv II autorun menu pops up. How do i disable this?
2) Is there any other way besides the midle mouse button to rotate the camera? That doesn't work for me and i can't rotate it.
3) Scrolling is just too tedious in the game! Most of the time i struggle to scroll to some place on the map and it refuses to! That is mostly on the lower screen where the UI is (which is quite big btw). Why isn't there the ability to scroll with the keyboard? It would make life much easier! Also, not being able to scroll diagonally is an annoyance too!
4) Also there are some wierd issues with the spending bars in the game. I'm not exactly sure but it seems that some times they don't do what i set them to or they reset when loading. I'll have to get to you on this one for more details.

Please help me cause it's affecting my gaming experience.
Other than these minor (but annoying) issues, the game is perfect. Good work!

Hey Blizzard,

1.) Not sure...will have to ask about this. DO you have DesktopX installed by any chance?
2.) There are pre-set angles using the 1 2 3 4 and 5 buttons, you will have to use those until hot-keys are implemented for rotating the main-map
3.) We'll look into hotkeys for scrolling when playing with #2. Have you tweaked the scrolling speed? We all have middle mouse buttons, which is really the way to go with scrolling, so if you find one for 5$ i highly suggest plopping down the money (It'll make life in windows easier too)
4.) They reset when loaded (as per GC1 and all of the beta cycle), but this will be addressed in an update.

Hope this helps, and thanks for the feedback!

If you dont want the autorun, brose to the Program Files\ \Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 folder and Make a short cut to the Galciv2.exe file. and use that to launch.

1) Eh... what is DesktopX?
2) I'll be waiting.
3) Well, i didn't mean scrolling in-out. I have a middle button and that is just fine. I meant scrolling across the map. Most of the time i have to do a lot of ups and downs with the mouse to get where i want, even if it's very close. Scrolling diagonally isn't an option and it can get pretty tiring if i'm not using the mini map (which i usually don't). Also when i move the pointer to the far left or right of the screen at the lower part of the screen it doesn't scroll accordingly. So in order to scroll the map right or left, the pointer has to be ABOVE the UI to work.
5) Soon i hope.

Always glad to give some feedback!

1.) Well, i guess DesktopX isn't the problem   (its the ObjectDesktop program we used to make the popup). I'm really not sure why this would run on startup  We'll look into it though.

3.) Sorry, my brain was in 3dMax mode (where holding the middle mouse button can scroll the map around). Try using the left mouse button to scroll the map around. It's 100x easier than using edge scrolling IMO.

What is your scrolling speed, and are you playing in windowed mode?

It may be easier but i guess i'm used to edge scrolling. It is a standard for all strategy games so it shouldn't be that difficult to implement. I'm playing fullscreen and my scrolling speed is 60. Also the tool tips don't show up most of the time if i don't move the cursor around a bit.

PS: What's up with all those sticky threads? There are just too many of them right now.
