Missed the boat on Gal Civ I

I found my way to Galactic Civilizations II while rummaging around on the Strategy First website and I've been REALLY impressed.
I was a huge fan of MOO2 (like most everyone else) and was really disappointed by how bad MOO3 turned out, after counting down the days to release (like most everyone else).
Having read the forums for the last few months, I have little reason to think Gal Civ II will disappoint. My one regret is that I didn't hear about the original Gal Civ until now. I''ll just have to make up for lost time next week.
Anyway, thank you to Stardock for maintaining such good communications with your customer/fan base. I'm really looking forward to next Tuesday!!!
