Ethical Alignments

I was reading the ethical alignment section in the manual and I came up with this question. in GC1 at least, evil choices within the game always gave you the most and good choices gave you the least. Therefore for balance, good civilization bonuses should be better than evil civilization bonuses (or selecting evil alignment after the xeno project should be more expensive than choosing good alignment). Do you think good bonuses are better than evil bonuses or choosing evil alignment is really more expensive than good alignment?

imho the evil bonuses should be better. what's the point in doing horrible things it gets you no more than if you did good?

What happens if your alignment changes and you have alignment specific buildings?

This believe it or not is a really good question. I have been playing the beta from the word go and as of yet have not had my allignment move from neutral even though i have made several 'evil' choices. Personally i dont like the idea that you need to research ethics to make it have any relevance on the game. In GCI it made an impact from the start and that was one of the things i liked about the game!
Now i may have this all wrong and it is making a difference and i just cant see it, and i hope this has been addressed in the final release?

Bring back my ability to play as evil or i will have to change my alias from Darth Griffn to something like Sitting on the wall in the middle Griffin, or Neutral Griffin Now they do not have the same ring about them do they

Griffin, your ethical choices have an impact!! If you're leaning "evil" and when it comes time to choose an alignment, it will cost you 10k bc to go Good... 2.5k to go Neutral, or stay evil for free.

The bonuses you get are HUGE.

Neutral parties will get an approval bonus. (HUGE HUGE HUGE) They also get a discount for purchasing ships, a bonus to soldiering when fighting non-neutral parties, and all planetary improvement tiles are unlocked!!

But Griffin of Galactic Balance does have a ring to it.

Even if it is a tad long

In other words.... STAY NEUTRAL

BUT.. what happens when you change alignment from bad to good ! or reverse.. not really addressed anywhere.

Been wondering this:

In Galciv 1 the interface and music changes when you change alignments, does that happen in this!?

There is no way to change from Evil to Good.... you go from "leaning towards..." to one direction or another.
