Yes the screenshots are cool, and the beta was neat - but these aren't what have me stoked for this game ...

That's how I got into making games in the first place.

A long time agoo... back on Comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic I was one of the guys who would hang out there talking about strategy games.

Then one day I decided to take a shot at it myself. So I bought "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days" and some OS/2 programming books (the first GalCiv was for OS/2) and went to it.

Lots have changed there and I was fortunate enough to make a career out of making cool stuff (that's essentially Stardock's product line, a bunch of guys (and girls) hanging around saying "You know what would be a neat thing?" and then trying to make it).

But the feedback on the game, whether it be flames or excitement, I'll be here for.
