FYI on Pre-orders!!

We have confirmed with our distributor (Take-Two) that both EB Games and Gamestop are setup to fufill pre-orders with the Collector's Edition. Why EB/Gamestop's retail outlets are so slow on the uptake is beyond me, but I will (again and quite literally for the 7th time) confirm this again with Take-Two.

Incidentally, Wal-Mart (US) is only going to be carrying the Collector's Edition of the game, so if all else fails, you can always get one from them.

I strongly rcommend not buying from Walmart. There strong anti-union and racist and sexist policies in promotions
are a turnoff to all who toil for a living and expect better. Walmart is really exploiting Chines labor and possibly prisonlabor as well, though I have not confirmed that specific detail yet. They have huge factories in China where workers have no free unions to protect their interests. The unions are all directly controlled by the government and the employers.

China is a communist state - not a socialist one.  For socialism - look to Europe.

WalMart sells just about everything imaginable at a very low cost so that "people that toil for a living and expect better" can buy more crap!

You make no sense.

If you don't like WalMart then don't shop there - go pay more from other companies that ultimately sell the exact same products made by the exact same people, while indulging in the exact same business practices.

Do you really think that other capitalistic entities are NOT trying to minimize cost and maximize profits?

Although I am not a huge Walmart Shopper, being blessed to live in Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA (which has Target, pronounced "Tar-shey") I can not help but wonder if having corporations invest in China whether good or bad, and having some censorship now (See yahoo, google, msn search being restricted over there) if some jobs and some information is still better than none.

I am reminded of a little known fact about the former soviet union. Most folks there had heard that someone had actually been to the moon, they had never seen any evidence and did not know whether to believe it, but at least they hard heard that it had happened.

Even gaming systems such as Galactic Civilizations are important in the big scheme of things as the world advances technically speaking, the need for conquest militarily will decrease as information will not only free the oppresed but be the key to ensuring continued freedoms that most of us appreciate today.

China hasn't been communist for about 30 years. (if it ever was: nationalising the industry doesn't make a country communist)
There has been no socialism in Europe for a very long time too, and there are barely any traces at all left (unfortunatelly)from the time it had some. I wonder why it still has that reputation...
