I'm getting the hang of making these look better. I was able to do a lot more detail with the head and actually make decent looking fingers for the hand. Also switched up from tiny class to small. It's a mix of Zaku/Gouf/Gelgoog designs. (just noticed I didn't invert the colors on the other shoulder, whoops)

These are amazing! Could you share the designs once the workshop opens up?

Ya, that's no problem as soon as the workshop opens up. I'll also put up my take on the Musai-class Late Production Type battleship. My take is a little wider and more aerodynamic. (yes I know that doesn't matter in space, but it makes it look more cool :P )

Please TheSoloDriver show us your secret to making those sexy mecha heads, they remind me of sexy Armored Core heads!!!

Anyways, I thought I'd share with you guys my first two custom designed tiny ships for my fictional Imperium of Lavendar custom faction I made. ^_^

The first tiny ship I made is a Canard design Swept Wing Fighter that I'm probably going to equip mass driver weapons and manuvering thrusters to. This design is inspired to me by the Curtiss-Wright XP-55 Ascender, the Kyūshū J7W1 Shinden "Magnificent Lightning" and modern day military UAV "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle" Drones.

The next tiny ship I made is a Delta Wing design Interceptor that I'm probably going to equip missiles, chaff and hyperdrive to. This design is inspired to me by the IAI Kfir, the Dassault Mirage IIIc, the Gloster Javelin and the Vought F7U Cutlass.

Enjoy!<3

Those Gundams are amazing. I never would have thought to make mobile suits.

I love this game's ship designer.

Speaking of ships, I made a custom Transport using the launch day parts (partially). I really like this one.

I'm really rubbish at designing nice spaceships. Most are cobbled together random parts, then components added.

Here's one that doesn't look completely ridiculous: (well it does but for other reasons!)

Hey there!

Another day another ship set!

I think this is the last basic set for a while, and now its time to go back, play through some games and flesh out all of these with variants and such!

This one was fun with using the big weird resource orb as a power source for the main cannons!

End of Iridas's quote

If I recall correctly, I'm using the Steel color set.

Great work Gauntlet03, really inspiring me to push it to the next level! =D

By any chance would it be possible to for a huge carrier (similar to a real world aircraft carrier) design where you can have an entire tiny fighter design pasted as a custom part take off, do a lap around the carrier and land back on it again only to pause before taking off again? Also how do you make sure the 3 tiny ships merged into a squadron as a small ship are each the same size as the tiny ship if they're fighting alongside each other to make it look more convincing if they fight alongside each other in a battle?

Hey thanks!

I'm afraid your carrier idea is likely impossible, there are no pausing commands for animations, and generally they all act simultaneously on the part. You could get one to run off and up a straight runway, but it would then reverse backwards back into place...

The closest I ever did with this sort of idea was housing fighters in a carrier, and having doors to reveal them, its in this set, I think around minute 2:

As for your question about the merged squad and battles... well, they are not going to scale perfectly, but I use small black parts on my models, offset, to ensure a certain scale in galaxy map and then I eyeball the various scales between units. Mostly, this is a matter of making Tiny ships at about half the normal size, and then everything scales mostly well from there. In the battle-viewer, (I almost never have time to actually play lol) I have no idea if they scale correctly, but I think they do, as I'd be surprised if they didn't just apply the same scaling in the galaxy map.

Thank you for your tips, I'll begin experimenting with squadrons and perhaps at least paste a tiny ship or two to escort the carrier. Will show eventually if I've gotten positive results. =D

I've decided to improve on my designs since then, I am still in the starting phase finishing up with perfecting my tiny ship designs but very soon I'll be climbing up the ladder to small, medium and cargo designs. I'm still happy to have them noticed though, thank you for your complement!
