Had a 4v4 two players were wiped out early and it was basically 2v4. So as it goes we put up a good fight and lost and they start spamming all this "TALK ABOUT OWNED" bs. I mean common have some respect or are we all playing against 5 year olds. I dont know but I always make ppl wanna play by wishing them a good game and what not. So thats my rant just alittle angry we cant get competent ppl online. But I guess thats what way it goes lol.

Ranking systems won't work but promote a more elitist cult of gamers who only play with certain people and kick anyone else out that threatens their rank. Such as someone with a high rank will group up with higher rank people and boot people that are too high rank not in their team. I've seen this several times before on different games and Sins will be no different, its a terrible idea and the current system is good as is. You'll get someone with 0-0 games played, expect a easy win and turns out into a well played match, or the opposite where you just dominate the player.

Rankings are pretty silly overall and provide more scrutiny over 'good games'. Also don't get mad if people beat you online and go 'TALK ABOUT OWNED' and making threads about it because damn, its like TALK ABOUT OWNED if you clearly and swiftly were like the OP.

Trashtalking is good. A nice "healthy" dose of it can make the game more fun than usual. If one is a recipient of the trashtalk they may try and elevate their game to shut the bum up! It is similar to the smacktalkers in a FPS. It is nothing to get really upset over. It is all how the individual reacts to the smacktalk that determines if the game is fun or not.

On my to do list (I alrady have the software I just need to tweak it)

You will be able to set up a game days or wekks in advance, let people know the whan size ect... they can register to play and the person who is setting up the game will be able to reject eople way in advance and know how many players will be joining...

This will reduce the idiot noncence and allow people to better plan their game time

To answer the original question: Because they are morons in real life. The most effective thing to do is simply to ignore them. Or, if I'm in the playful mood, suggest some makeup sex chatting. That normally shuts people up.

The worst I've seen in Sins is nothing compared to what I've seen in FPS communities. There are some despicable folks who are just bad, disgusting human beings. Some of the better players will even heavily insult lesser-skilled players on Teamspeak, harassing them over voice comm.

I know one guy in particular who seems to think that he's God's gift to humanity and I worry that his head is so inflated that if he isn't chained to the ground he'll do us all a favor and float off into space. The moron I'm thinking of also enjoys hopping into teams' Teamspeak channels while they're playing and then blaring music. What's sad is that some of the other members of the community (many of whom are also elite jerky types) love him so much that they're practically ready to erect a gold statue to him when they should be shunning him and banishing him from the community.
