Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

The Achilles will be a Capital Ship and will carry 2 squadrons of 10 fighters, one of F-302s most likely, and the second squadron of the new fighters.

Are you going to build a new kind of strike craft or just use the f 302( one with railguns and one with missiles)

I am going to design a new fighter and build it, it will most likely look similar to the 302, but with definite changes.  Anyhow, on the note of the Achilles, she has been textured by one Major A Payne, who also built the model.  Here is the textured version.

i got a idea that you guys might like,

in the loading screen for the game. instead of having Sins theme music, why dont you use stargate sg1/atlantis/universe theme music instead to get a stargate feel for the game?

just shooting ideas.

Lovely job on the Achilles.  She looks fantastic.  What are the poly restrictions on this game?  I haven't been able to find them.

i am really likeing all of you ship designs..... but they are all starting to look the same and a bit over the top, i really like the achilles but it has such a long nose which i dont think they would do on a space ship it would make it very weak. But i still like it and it should be used here are some fan ships that i really like and that put a spin on the ship design.

The Thor is going to be in the mod, as for the other 2, they are interesting designs, I will keep them bookmarked, just incase.  Thanks for the suggestion.

So far the limit that I have seen is about 12,000 for ships, if there wont be many of that particular ship, and not sure yet on the stations.

An oddly long hull with a slight slope is probably the most effective ship design for space warfare.  It allows for more dispersion of impacts along the surface when facing the enemy.

Update on the Achilles.

 

After extensive work, and a nagging attempt to learn XSI correctly, we have the model ingame, temporarily at the moment.  The mesh Im about to show you was exported with XSI, but for some reason the shading is being weird, and exporting through max is just not an option anymore.  Anyhow, here is the Achilles ingame.

Once the aurora has a texture, she will be ingame and I will take shots... she is really difficult to get textures on atm

After adding the tangent map in XSI, with the help from Major Stress and the ModSetDocs, I haave been working on getting the mesh complete. Here are updated shots, there are still some problems with the mesh, but I think now it will be easier to work out.

I use 3D studio Max to make my models, and then I am now learning how to convert the models using XSI to get them to look correct in Sins, which is very difficult for me at the moment as Im still having problems.

im sorry, your want that program without buying it?? only use cracks / pirated versions when the orginial software doesnt work or when somehow your having problems with the paying method (i.e. u.s. only)
