The ship designer is out now in the the alpha 2.0 patch, so when have a that ship designed feel free to post it here and so others can see what kind of cool things you can build with it.

I would like to request if anyone is willing make them, the first 2 are Star Wars designs and the third is a Mass Effect design. I'll probably pass the Star Wars schematics on to Omnibus since he's the head honcho of all Star Wars designs, but it wouldn't hurt to share them with you guys either. I was going to also request an X-wing but don't have to request the X-wing since it's probably already been done by Omnibus.
First is a schematic of the V-wing, a single seat escort fighter used in the Clone Wars by the Galactic Republic's clone pilots:
(Preferably with the wing radiators in an open position for combat.)
The second ship is a Hutt Cartel fighter design known as the Dune Lizard, it was used mostly for piracy or for escorting smugglers:
My last design, I request to anyone who thinks they can do it. Since no one has worked on Mass Effect ships en mass yet. We don't really have any examples of good Mass Effect ships.
It is a Turian Carrier, a large ship used by the humanoid raptor/bird like aliens known as Turians in the Mass Effect series. Easily one of the coolest designed ships in the series aside from the Normandy:

Apparently it's supposed to be a Mandalorian transport frigate from the Star Wars universe but since I can't confirm it being 100% canon I put this up as a bonus request if anyone feels like it.
I have been trying to make some Babylon 5 units. These ones are Minbari.

Thanks Duken-FX. I am quite happy with that one. I am not totaly satisfied with the Shahrlin cruiser, I need to get a hang of which other parts that are avaible. I will probably try to make "one better" with huge hull

It's very nice that there are so many 'organic' looking parts in the designer
So is there a way to assign certain design ships to a specific race? For example once MrStarTreks ST ship packs become available for download (by the way awesome ships) then I want to attach them to my Federation Race. And when either playing them or playing against them they only uses these designs.
I've never been able to get this to work in GC2 and I'm not sure how to do it in GC3.
Also I did not know you can make ship parts. How is this done?
Out Fraking standing. This is a true work of art. When I was in Star Trek Online I wanted one of these but was not high enough in level before I stopped playing.

Loving the designs as always, Mr. Star Trek never fails to impress, and I'm also happy to see someone taking a stab at the Minbari!
I'm progressing on my ship sets, and I am finally done the Terrans! I'm particularly proud of the Transport, the Heavy Bomber, the Carrier with internal bays, and well... everything else?
Inspired by those of you who keep mentioning Babylon 5 (also one of my favorite shows ever)...
Minbari, Sharlin War Cruiser has arrived...
Could use a little more work, forgot the side fins, but overall I'm quite pleased with it. I might strip the fins off and replace them with moving tentacles and use this as the base for a unique ship set. Or just make a Minbari inspired ship set... we'll see.
Another EDIT: I hope the ships are now displayed properly.

I used 10 parts for this, surely others can do better. Another color scheme may let it look more canon.
Gauntlet03 make a Minbari inspired ship set pls, but no moving tentacls. it look great as it is and try to limit the animations on your designs on bigger maps..yeah it slows the game down im happy with no animations.
And centauri inspired ships any one able to get something that is close?

Haha I'll think about doing some Minbari when I am just too tired to work on other things. Asking me not to animate is asking a fish to breathe air. It just isn't going to happen.
@Gizmokvack I'm liking these designs, but I wish you had made them in a different color scheme so that we could see them better.
Well redid the Sharlin Cruiser, did a much better job this time!
Maybe I would post some designs here. If only I would know how to do so.
I recommend photobucket.com. make a free acct. upload pics to photobucket then use the IMG link in you album library to copy and paste IMG URL link here.
Maybe steam is the easier way as I don`t have to make an account.

@Gauntlet03 I chose grey and navy blue because it fits my designs aestethically, but you are right it does make it harder to see in screenshots. I wish there were some more options in designer to change background, switch of HUD etc, and possibly change color scheme.
