Which planets do YOU like most?
when detailing it, please be as precise as possible 
I like the Ice planet with 4 crystal asteroids the most, always good to have it, and it feels good, I don't know if you can understand my last though though. And I like the Pirate Base as a planet (so completely clear of those pirate stuff like mines, turrets etc), because it always makes me remember that it was a moderate fight getting it (I always steamroll it with a late game fleet and a titan to maximize my efficiency), and it is funny to have it as a normal planet like a terran or something 
, though I always feel like missing something as it has no resource asteroids, and I always build some turrets to have something around it.
Just a last thought on the Ice planet, I really liked the texture that had huge ice valleys on it, giant ocean frozen and getting broken, the current one is good, realistic and stuff, but that one was so awesome, and they removed it... was a huge disappointment, I though they will add new textures, not just one new, and removing every other one...
In mods I don't have a favourite planet type, most planets are unbalanced or extremely weird, greatly ruining my gaming experience, and it is a sad thing. Or I just don't like that mod having new planet types to have a sense of those (like distant stars).
3/4 of my text is about Sins Rebellion + Forbidden worlds DLC, I only wanted to put some lines about mods at the end.
Barren.
Generally lots of asteroids and a metric f*** tonne of logistics slots available. Plus, no need for colonization research.
And that's because I don't like that one.. And the small icon for it is just a meh, not very different from the undiscovered world one. That planet is like, hey man, take this best tier planet for free, good pop, extreme civ slots, lame militia, no colonization research, while the other need to f*ck with kodiaks, colonization research etc etc, FOR LESS INCOME... (trade ports, trade ports everywhere) Not a fair thing.
Oh, and when I play, that thing is absolutely the rarest to get, and when it is to be found on the map, it is nowhere near me.. like the AI knows how to use it lol. Good thing Advent got a research for increasing it's population, so useful man (if you want to waste huge amounts of wealth)
The best is barren worlds it has just about every thing you want in a planet in this game plus if you are advent you get good population
Desert, b/c I play advent the most. I wish random maps had an option for starting on a desert world rather than terran since advent need terran research to improve desert worlds.
But terran has more population by default..
Though it would really be nice to have an option to start on a Desert, it would change the taste of that game by much. But a small disadvantage for the Vasari, but who cares, they already have all the awesome stuff. I like those made maps where you start on a desert, they are different.
