How to modify Pirate voices?

The pirate voices are a little.. unrealistic. What are the odds humanoid robotic creatures will say "Shiver me timbers"? Anyway does anyone know how to modify it. Perhaps giving it Borg voices maybe?

you could create a mod replacing then Pirate Announcement.ogg to Pirate_OnStartPhaseJump_0.ogg files and activate the mod then you would have your own pirate sounds mod, and the sounds are mono to help you when you are editing/creating the tracks.

Where do they say "Shiver me timbers?"

I dont know that soundfile and neither does the wiki.

Borg voices are no doubt cool but they would imho only fit on a StarTrek Mod.

I was just exaggerating. Thanks for the help.
Funny thing is, its just a little bit too. lol

But yeah the voices do seem kinda...cheesy, or whatever for a scifi game. From the picture I see in the Pirates/Bounty window I was expecting them to sound more like an evil/dark version of the TEC or something.

Depends on kind of humor I guess.

Since you usually hear them quite rarely I dont mind the stereotypical sounds.

Besides, people watch Pirates of the Caribbean, vote for the Pirate party on some occasions and then do participate in what is called modern piracy on the net. ;P

You can use the free audio program Audacity to import, record, modify new/existing audio tracks then save them in 1 channel .ogg format.

Then rename the new .ogg file you made as the "pirate announcement" one in the game or whatever they are coded as.

ARESIV, or modern piracy in the form a bunch of crazies on a skiff wielding RPG's and AK-47's! lol
