Do you think orbital refineries are for lames?

Nobody builds them, they need a buff.

Possibly add superweapon attachments to them?  Like shoot out crystal at enemy planets and crystalize the population permanently causing the TEC loyalist faction to be weaker than Vasari Loyalist.  Sometimes I do not think gravitational pull is factored in when ships are flying in and out of the gravity well because it should be faster to move closer to the planet and harder to move away because of gravitational pull.

On the topic of refineries, the Advent's Resource Focus could certainly use something to make it not worthless.

 

Honestly I think Resource Focus could create some really interesting gameplay if it didn't suck ass- could be very dynamic, shifting trade posts on ice/volcanic worlds when you are in great need of crystal/metal, then shifting back to tradepost form afterwards.

 

Of course there might come a point in the game where some worlds(4 extractor worlds with high allegiance) it may be better to leave resource focus on all the time, whereas fringe worlds or 2-3 extractor worlds would always default to tradepost mode.

 

Honestly It could make the advent economy a bit better and a lot more interesting if Resource Focus weren't a steaming pile of shit.

Refineries have always been a niche thing and Resource Focus even moreso, especially if you have allies because of trade agreements.

yes i agree with you 100%, ever since illuminators were fixed in entrenchment, orbital refineries have lost their value?

1. identify your trade route line

2. Build and maximize the number of trade routes on it

3. Identify planets not on the trade route line with 3 or more extractors

4. Build Refineries or focus only on refinery on planets with 3 or more extractors

5. Identify planets not on the trade route line with less than 3 extractors.

6. Build economic  and warfare research structures on planets not on the trade route line with less than three extractors.

7. Troll the battlefield.

Didn't you here?  They changed that with the v1.09 patch....you now have to have 30 ragnarov's at the gravity well...and the only way that's possible is if you have both supply pact and solitary path....

No, no, no, you have got it all wrong.  It's the scattershot ability on the Novaliths that makes gas giants overpowered.  Scattershot can't target gas giants.
