Resurrecting Titans

I not a fan of titans being able to resurrecting Titans w/levels & experience intact.

If you are going to allow that why not allow capital ships to do the same.

They really are not all that comparable. They serve different roles and should not be compared. The Titan is the end all be all unit, capital ships are merely support ships.

I feel like they should lose a couple levels upon death and that the Progenitor's Resurrection should be able to restore one of those as there really isn't a penalty for losing your titan aside from build time and build cost.

It took me a while to realize they can even do this, but I agree that it's silly for Titans (or cap ships) to be "resurrected."

What's the point in blowing one up?  Sure, it takes 375 seconds or whatever to build - that's 6 minutes.  Sure it takes money - which anyone who is expanding late in the game has.

There should be a substantial penalty for this; even a couple of levels isn't enough in my book.

If your losing your titan you either didn't pay enough attention to the battle or you are about to lose anyway. Why compensate poor gameplay with a get out of jail free card?

because its not a get out of jail free card some titans are destined to lose early game. Balance wise if they lose a level they are already behind the opponent who

A) Got Xp for killing your titan
B ) Continuing to gain XP from the time it takes for you to build a titan(Which is 360(?) seconds)
C) Which opponent now more than likely has a higher fleet advantage over you

If you actually look at it, its really not that stupid.

Then the question becomes.

If you loose your titan how certain of loosing the entire game should you be?

10 % certain? 50% or 90%?

Maybe we can finally get an answer on this from the devs. This subject is brought up daily now...

There is no certainty you just know that you are behind.

I dont see how titans losing their xp on death is any different to what it has been like for capital ships all this time. Sure Titans are a lot more powerful but frankly if your opponent is stronger than you then they should have every opportunity of taking you out rather than constantly having to worry about the free high level titan that will keep coming out.

What you will end up getting is a titan sluggfest where titan A kills titan B and titan B comes back and beats titan A because it has half health from the last conflict and it will rinse and repeat. That to me doesn't sound fun and it just makes the whole experience dull, mundane and outright ludicrous.
