Buy via steam, they accept more payment methods than just credit card and paypal. Okay, you not having a retail box is a drawback, but till now I didn't have a problem with my digital copies (I was nice to steam so steam was nice to me I guess?).

After watching this replay, I noticed that the starbase trade income from enemy planets was not showing up when you hover over the Credits Summary.  Not sure if it wasn't being added tho? 

I saved the game, and played it a little longer.  And was able to get the income into the upper 1400s quite easily.
